EMERGENCY CONTINGENCY PLAN
Thank you for those who volunteered to help in the event of The Salvation Army ever needing an Emergency Relief team in Histon. If anyone else is interested, please speak to Captain Louise.

HELPING HAND SCHEME 2004 – Barefoot Doctors
Congratulations to everyone who has supported the Helping Hand Scheme this year. The project that The Salvation Army has undertaken for 2004 was to provide finances to train people living in remote villages in China to have some basic medical knowledge to act as ‘Barefoot Doctors’ with the hope of having two people in each of the villages trained up. £500 trains two people and £7,000 helps to build a medical centre. The total raised by different groups in the church was a fantastic £430.80 so well done everyone! This amount will go towards the overall total raised by The Salvation Army in the Anglia Region later this month.
