Each year in late September/early October The Salvation Army holds an Annual Appeal to raise money for its social work throughout the United Kingdom and is reliant on having volunteers to help do this.

Unfortunately, there were only a few volunteers able to help locally this year so the total collected in Histon, Impington & Girton will be down on last year as it was not possible to cover all of the area that is normally collected. Thank you to those who were able to take part and the final figure raised should be known in time for the next newsletter.
